Dr. Nauschuetz received her medical degree from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo. She completed an internship in internal medicine at Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center and a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Brooke Army Medical Center. Dr. Nauschuetz has over 26 years of experience in anatomic and clinical pathology, with a focus on surgical pathology and cytopathology. Her background also includes 28 years of service in the U.S. Army Medical Department as an active duty Medical Corps officer. She currently also serves as a volunteer pathologist and guest educator at San Antonio Military Medical Center and the Fort Sam Houston Medical Education and Training Campus (METC). Dr. Nauschuetz has held several academic appointments during her professional career, to include Program Director of the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium Cytopathology Fellowship, and Medical Director of the METC Cytotechnology Program. She is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and cytopathology. Dr. Nauschuetz joined TCP in July 2013.
Dr. Nauschuetz is a member of several professional organizations including the College of American Pathologists, American Society for Clinical Pathology, American Society of Cytopathology, American Society of Cytotechnology, and Texas Society of Pathologists.
